James Roy Lee of Hanceville passed away September 1, 2019 at the age of 88. He was born in Hanceville on October 29, 1930 to James Claude and Annie Couch Lee. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Francis Lillian Bland Lee, sister Mary Nell (James) Ransom, infant brother Joel Ray Lee. Mr. Lee was a long time member and deacon at Bethlehem East Baptist Church. He worked for ten years at LNL Railroad and his hobby was painting landscapes for family and friends. Funeral services are Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Moss Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Junkin and Rev. Russ Foxx officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem East Baptist Cemetery in Hanceville. Survivors are: daughters Kaye (Don) Rowe, Vickie (Tom) Black, Regina (Barry) DeMonia, sister Melba (Charles) Millican, grandchildren Jason (Melissa) Rowe, Lindsay (Ryan) Jencsik, Melissa Abercrombie, great grandchildren Morgan Abercrombie, Grace Rowe, Ben Abercrombie, Parker Durham, Lilly Durham, Kash Rowe and Tori Durham. Visitation is Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Moss Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until service time at 3:00 PM.
