James Roy Cupps, age 74 of Sumiton, passed away February 14, 2021.
Mr. Cupps was a member of Sumiton First Baptist Church. He was retried from Norfolk Southern Railroad.
Graveside service and interment will be Friday February 19, 2021 at 1:00 pm at New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ted Johnson will officiate. Visitation is Friday from 12-1 pm at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Cupps; parents, Druie and Beulah Cupps; brothers, Robert, Cecil, William, Bodie, Roger, Johnny and Gary Elvis Cupps and sisters, Shelby Gunter and Martha Reed.
Survivors include his daughters, Lee Ann Harding (Doug) and Janene Franklin (Ricky); son, James Roy Cupps, Jr.; one granddaughter; three great grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Cuppps; a sister, Mary May; and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
