A Memorial service for James “Ross” Williams, Jr., 79, will be Monday, August 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Barry Sempsrott officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, August 24, 2026, from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Williams passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born May 14, 1947, in Morgan County, to James Ross Williams, Sr. and Margaret Parrott Williams.
Ross was an Antique Dealer and Business Owner of Williams Antiques. He loved his job, enjoyed nature and hunting, searching for ginseng and arrowheads and deeply loved animals. He was an “Old Hippie”, who loved concerts, and enjoyed car racing and sports. He also was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War.
