James Robert Sterling, age 88 of Muscle Shoals, passed away August 3, 2022, at Helen Keller Hospital due to complications of Covid-19.
James was born July 13, 1934, in Hopedale, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the US Army, where he served during the Korean War. He retired in 1996 from G&G Steel.
He is survived by his children, James E. Sterling (Kim), Sherrie Colglazier (Alan) and Marc W. Sterling (Pam); five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jessie Sterling, and daughter, Sandy Sterling Pope.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life Memorial, at a later date.
The family wishes to express a heart of gratitude to the doctors and nurses of the ICU of Helen Keller Hospital, also the staff of The Pearl of The Shoals, where he resided for the last five years. As the full staff knows, Dad had his favorite, which was his CNA “Kim”. She always went above and beyond her duty to spoil him. Kim was the only one that could do anything right when it came to Daddy’s care, this is what he would say!!! We, as the children are stating Thanks for all the love and care given to our Dear Daddy!!
