James Robert Hodge of Albertville, Alabama, passed away on July 20, 2026.
James Hodge (Jimmy to those who knew him) was such a beautiful soul who cared deeply for his friends and family. He was the type of man who would be willing to help anyone in any situation. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed being in nature, where he felt at peace. He loved his music, the one thing he found peace in more than nature. He loved all genres, and he always found a way to use it to express himself. He passed his love for it down to his children in the same way.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Brandi Hodge, and his children, Rylan Kay, Layla Smith, Ellie Smith, and Rhett Hodge; his father, James Hodge Jr.; and his sisters, Allison Hodge and Samantha Frye. He was preceded in death by James Hodge Sr. (Papaw), Anna Hodge (Graham Gracker), and Roberta Pittman (Granny).
We will be having a memorial at the home of his loyal friend, Zachery Brown, on Saturday, August 1st, at 6:00 PM to celebrate his life. Please reach out to Mr. Brown or Jimmy’s sister, Miss Hodge, for the address if needed. A private event will follow at a later date.
