Mr. James Robert Burks “Shorty”, age 70 of Albertville, passed away Monday, March 27, 2023. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Brother Cain Brothers officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones at 10:00 am till the time of service, and burial will follow at Nixon Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Burks is survived by his sisters Elizabeth Johnson (Claude) and Rose Mary Foster; and brothers Robert Burks (Ruth), Larry Burks (Leslie), and Jerry Burks (Lisa). He was preceded in death by his parents Odell and Christine Burks; wife Gail Burks; sisters Joyce Jones and Judy Bailey; and brothers Kenneth Burks and David Burks.
Pallbearers will include Justin Burks, Jason Foster, Austin Freeman, Tim Jones, Jody Jones, and Riley Baker
