James Rickey Barker, 66, passed away January 18, 2025 in Calhoun City. He was born to May 12, 1958, to Lavon and Anece Barker in Calhoun City. He graduated from Calhoun City High School. His hobbies were carpentry, music and spending time with his family and being outdoors. He retired from Eaton Custom Seating in September of 2023. He was a beloved member of West Pontotoc Pentecostal Church where he played the drums.
Services will be at 1:00pm Friday, January 24, 2025 at West Pontotoc Pentecostal Church. Pastor Clint Long and Bishop Eugene Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in the Baldwin Memorial Gardens. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors; wife of 33 years, Bonnie Barker; daughters, Melissa Lackey (Carey), Deana Tryon (Marcus) and Rikki Herdahl (Richard); grandchildren, Marcus Graham, Devin Stewart, Kailyn Williams (Chase), Channing Lackey, Cruze Lackey, Alexis Tutor (A J), Ryker Tryon, Lyndsey Vernon and Fisher Herdahl; great grandchild, Canon Williams; siblings, Thomas Barker, Perry Barker and Judy Gregg and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by; parents; Mother-in-law, Mildred Carter; and a brother, Charles Wayne Barker.
Pallbearers, Marcus Graham, Devin Stewart, Channing Lackey, Cruze Lackey, Ryker Tryon, Fisher Herdahl, Donivon Owens and Chase Long.
Visitation; 5-7pm Thursday, January 23, 2025 and noon until service time Friday, January 24, 2025 all at West Pontotoc Pentecostal Church.
