James Richard “Jim” Mathews age 66 of Bagley, passed away on June 29, 2018.
He was a retired electrical teacher from Bevill State College; he was formerly employed by Southern Company for 15 years; he was a volunteer at the Warrior Regional Library and Art Center; he also loved playing and working on guitars.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Burial in McCormack Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1-2 pm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Sallie Mathews.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Barbara Mathews; daughter, Sarah Jane Mathews (Seth Varney); mother in law, Opal Phillips and brother in law, Robert Earl Phillips.
