Funeral service for James Rex Tankersley, 71, will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cint Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Tankersley died on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham. He was born July 25, 1949, in Cullman County to Oscar Clayton Tankersley and Glenice Barnett Tankersley. Mr. Tankersley was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Angela Renee Grimes; son-in-law, Dan Castrillo; two brothers, Dwight Tankersley and Gary Tankersley and one sister, Dixie Powell. Prior to his passing, Mr. Tankersley was employed by Pennington Seed as a truck driver.

Zac Tankersley, Anna Vickery and Aiden Vickery
Great Grandchild – Juliette Royster
A host of nieces, nephews and other extended family
Pallbearers will be Jerry Schumann, Jay Tankersley, Zac Tankersley, Sonny Atkinson, Rodney Land, Jimmy Tankersley and Jerry Tankersley.
