James Ray Wales, 67 of Elkmont, Alabama died on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Huntsville Hospital.
Born Saturday, June 24, 1950 in Athens, Alabama, he was the son of the late Foster Wales and the late Audrey Martin Wales. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, lived in the Elkmont area all his life, and was a cut up, enjoyed picking on everybody. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Maggie Smith and Ruth Wales, and brothers: Billy, Rabon, Alton, and Junior Wales.
Surviving are son, James Rodney Wales of Ardmore, TN, sisters, Rebecca Brewer and Betty Faye McCurry both of Elkmont, AL.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
