James Ray “Scrunchy” McDonald, age 69, of Tuscumbia, died Monday, July 1, 2013. Visitation will be Wednesday, 11-12 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Jerry White officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. McDonald was a Colbert County native and worked as an Iron Worker through Labor Local #477. He loved his kids and his chickens.
He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Brenda McDonald of Tuscumbia; parents, Lillie Pearl and Russell Jackson McDonald; sons, Mike McDonald (Connie) of Tuscumbia, Ronnie McDonald (Tammy) of Leighton, Chris McDonald (Kim) of Leighton, Jason McDonald (Alicia) of Tuscumbia; brother, Rickey McDonald; sisters, Joy Cummins and Sue Boatwright: grandchildren, Brandon McDonald, Justin McDonald (Dannah), Cody McDonald (Dara), Jamie McDonald (Whitney), Tyler McDonald, Chase McDonald, Brodie McDonald, Tiffany Vandiver (Derek), six-great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Justin McDonald, Tyler McDonald, Cody McDonald, Jamie McDonald, Robert Smith and Chase McDonald.
