James Ray “Fuzzy” Nelson, age 69, of Tuscumbia, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013. Visitation will be Saturday, 6-9 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Sunday, 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jerry Crowden and Brother Don McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Bertha Nelson; brothers, A. J. Nelson, Leon Mitchell; and sister, Ruby Pennington. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Nelson; son, Ashley Nelson; daughters, Sabrina Gibson (Juston), Teresa Cantrell, Tonya Nelson; sisters, Martha McNatt, Gladys McNatt, Pauline Musgrave, Doris Clark, Louise Davis; and two special grandchildren, who were the light of his life, Chad Nelson (Elizabeth) and Erika Cantrell.
Pallbearers are Anthony Austin, Mike McWilliams, Andy Barry, Bart Lewis, Chris Gibson, Jacob Herston, Gary Musgrave, Phillip Clark.
Honorary pallbearers are sons-in-law and nephews.
