Mr. James Ray Burton, age 88, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 in Lexington. He was born September 10, 1934 in Henderson County to the late Johnny and Litha Watson Burton. He was retired from Century. Survivors include his four sons, James Burton, Jr., Randy Lee Burton, Jimmy Burton, Ryan Burton; two daughters, Martha Henderson and Rachel Fuller; two step daughters, Judy and Rita two step sons, Danny O’Guinn and Eddie O’Guinn; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Sunday, July 9, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hare Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, 11 AM – 2 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington.
