James Randolph Church, age 49 of Tuscumbia, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. His visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Seth Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Hyde Lake Cemetery.
James was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was a proud member of the NRA and of the Punishers L.E.M.C. James was a loving husband, father, son and papa. He treasured his entire family, a great friend to many and an outstanding man. He worked for Nucor for over 15 years as a welder in Industrial Maintenance. James enjoyed traveling and seeing the world, riding his motorcycle, and being with his friends, family and beloved wife.
Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Terisa Church; parents, Winston and Colene Moats; son, Lee Bates (Hailey); daughters, Aundrea Weeks (Kenneth) and Tiffany Claunch (Cole); brother, Johnny Church; sisters, Brenda Davis (Johnny) and Michelle Richardson (Reggie); four grandchildren, Haiden, Riley, Wesley and Avery; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Rogers, Greg Lawson, Barry Cox, Tony Roberson, Ricky Cochran and Preston King. Honorary pallbearers will be Haiden Bates, Riley Bates, Wesley Weeks and Avery Claunch.
