James R. Montgomery, 80, of Florence, passed away peacefully the morning of September 23, 2018 at Courtyard Healthcare in Goshen, Indiana. James was born on April 12, 1938 in Iron City, Tennessee to the late Roy and Maddie Kelley Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald L. Montgomery and Billy J. Capterton and his sister, Blanche Childers.
He is survived by his children, Jaime L. (Johnathon) Cline, Donald R. Montgomery and Andrew Levenson; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy R. Montgomery; former spouse and caregiver, Mary Montgomery as well as many extended family members and friends.
There are no services planned at this time. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Iron City, Tennessee.
