James R. “Jim” Nutt – Obituary

James R. “Jim”  Nutt, age 66, of Minor Hill, TN passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at Hillside Hospital in Pulaski, TN.  He was a native of Ardmore, OK, retired Lt. Investigator from Oklahoma City Police Department and CLEET, former Chief of Police in Coupeville, WA, a member of  FOP and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Mr. Nutt served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Era.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bonnie Walker Nutt.

He is survived by

Michael Nutt, Birmingham, AL
Hunter James Aldridge (Holly Mitchell Aldridge), Huntsville, AL

One Daughter –
Shawna Marie Nutt, Elkton, NV

Janet Henley, Ruidoso, NM
Mary Smith, Alamogordo, NM
Carol O’Connell, Alamogordo, NM
Pam Helmic, Alamogordo, NM

Three Grandchildren

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lawrenceburg, TN.  Funeral services will be conducted at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lawrenceburg, TN at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2014, with Bishop Don Jackson officiating.  Interment will follow at Nutt Family Cemetery in Minor Hill, TN with full military honors.
