Dr. James Pope Holmes, 60, of Huntsville, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015. Dr. Holmes was a graduate of Louisiana State University Medical School. He was a gastroenterologist in Huntsville for the last 22 years. Survivors are son, Michael James Holmes; daughter, Jamie Nicole Holmes; their mother, Deborah Holmes and his brother, E. P. Holmes. Receiving of friends will be Sunday, October 11 at Berryhill Funeral Home from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 4:00 p.m. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
