James Pittman “J.P.” Everett, 84 of Cullman, entered into rest on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Cullman Regional Medical Center.

J.P. was born on March 1, 1936 in Addison, Alabama. He enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, and driving his tractor.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 11am at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in the Upshaw Community. Pastor Rodney Ridgeway will officiate.

J.P. is survived by his wife, Joy Everett; daughters, Dale Everett Tinker and Gail Everett; stepdaughter, Debbie Phifer and her husband Joe; stepson, Michael McCurley and his wife Tammy; brothers, Robbie and Odis Everett; and a slew of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parent, William Paul and Ostella Fortenberry Everett; first wife, L.G. Everett; sister, Christeen Winkles; and brother, Edward Everett.
