James “Pete” Ottis Lindley, 87 of Addison passed away on October 18, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on February 13, 1925 in Arley. Mr. Lindley proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, where services will be held at 2:00pm. Reverend Mackey Watts, Reverend Robert Partridge and Reverend Ray Bridgmon will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Addison.

He is survived by his wife, Amelia “Mega” Lindley; daughter, Carolyn Dollar and her husband Donald; brother, Eugene Lindley and his wife Vetra; sister, Gladys Williams; and he was Paw Paw Pete to his two grandchildren, Candy Watts and her husband Mackey, and Tim Dollar his wife Marta; and two great grandchildren, Case Andrew Watts and Lily Reese Dollar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Carrie Lindley; and his brother Clinton Lindley.
