James “Pete” Olen Wilson Sr.

James “Pete” Olen Wilson Sr., 80, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Murfreesboro, TN. He was born March 1, 1943 to the late Herschel S. Wilson and the late Ora Mae Williams Wilson. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was an avid lover of Cleveland baseball and football. When he was healthier, he enjoyed many rounds of golf and fishing. He loved spring and planting his flowers. He was the basketball MVP of the 1962 Itawamba High School team his senior year..
Services will be 10:00 am Saturday March 25, 2023, with visitation beginning at 9:00 Saturday all at Senter Funeral Home chapel. Ministers presiding will be Brady Ramey and Homer Wilson. Burial will be at Pine Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Carla (Ken) Knight of Burns, TN; son, James “Jim” (Deanna) Wilson, Jr.; grandsons: Kevin (Rebecca) Vaughn, Jordan Vaughn, Keith (Lindsey) Schuster; granddaughter, Taylor Wilson; brothers: Homer (Kay) Wilson and John (Emma) Wilson; sister, Mayola Holley
Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Unel Hood; brother, Dalton Wilson
