James Olen Pettus, 82, of Loretto, passed away July 26, 2014 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia. He was born May 19, 1932 and attended State Line Grove Baptist Church.

Son: Jimmy Dale (Rita) Pettus of Loretto
Daughter: Phyllis Conner (Darrell) of Hohenwald
Grandchildren: Troy (Mary Beth) Pettus of Loretto
Chad (Bethany) Pettus of Muscle Shoals, AL
Kayla Conner of Hohenwald
Great Grandchildren: Ally Kate, Addy Karsen and Jack,
whom he loved dearly
Several nieces and nephews

Parents: William Thomas Pettus and Edith Slater Pettus
Father-in-law: Herman Elmore Creekmore
Mother-in-law: Ina Leo Mashburn Creekmore
Sisters: Nella Rhea Ballard and Helen Mashburn
Brothers: Selton, Mitchell, and Mike Pettus
Visitation will be Monday, July 28, from 4:00-8:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Tuesday at 11:00am at the funeral home with Bro. Harold Widner, Bro. Joel Wallace, and Bro. Wayne Jetton officiating. Burial will be in Restview Cemetery in Loretto.
Pallbearers will be Wade Pettus, Kevin Creekmore, Wendall Mashburn, Ronald Killen, Glenn Fulks, Marcus Wilson, Mike Evers, and Gary Russ.
