James O. Webb, age 85, passed away on January 17, 2026, in Ellabell, Georgia. He was born on July 11, 1940, in Ripley, Tennessee, to the late James H. Webb and Mary Alice Parham Webb.
James proudly served his country in the United States Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer after 26 years of dedicated service. Following his military career, he worked for the Chatham County Board of Education, from which he also retired.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening and was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and lived his life guided by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria J. Webb; children Andrea Webb Grizzard, James O. Webb Jr. (Christy), and Wendy Webb; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and his sister, Vivian Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Benny Webb; and his sister, Charlotte Chipman Flowers.
