James Norman Morton, 77, of Memphis, TN, died Monday, November 14, 2016, at Senatobia Healthcare and Rehab, in Senatobia, MS. Mr. Morton was of the Methodist faith. He was a graduate of Burnsville High School, a Mason, Scottish Rite, Shriner, and a retiree from Memphis Refinery after 28 years. James was a member of Bluff City Sams RV Club and had a lifelong passion for traveling and camping. Visitation is scheduled for 11a.m. until 1p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services with Masonic Rites are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Stanley Magill. Interment will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery. Pallbearers include Earl Glenn, Gary Bonds, Ritchie Morton, Jerry Bonds, Tommy Bonds, and Larry Bonds. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Katie Stricklen Morton; his daughter, Celena Morton Smith (Michael) of Memphis, TN; his son, James Timothy Morton (Magi) of Hernando, MS; his brother, Doyle Morton of Burnsville, MS; four grandchildren, Abby Morton, Jessica Payne, Ian Smith, and Connor Smith; and 4 great grandchildren.
