Mr. James “Mickey” Michael Young, age 65, of Arab, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Serenity Hospice in Huntsville.
Mr. Young was born on February 20, 1953 in Gadsden to Arthur Lon Young, Jr. & Willow Dean Cox. He served in the US Army for 20 years. Mr. Young enjoyed fishing, hunting, cross word puzzles, collecting coins and guns, attending car & antique shows.
He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Mr. Young is survived by his wife of 47 years, LeAndra Towles Young; son & daughter-in-law, Michael Brian Young & Dawn; daughter & son-in-law, Heather Young & Robbie Bowman; brother & sister-in-law, Anthony Young & Robin, sister, Deborah Cox & Bruce; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J.R. Lon Young, Jr. & Willow Dean Lusco; brothers, Larry Young, Byron Young; sister, Brenda Childress; 1 grandchild.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday January 15, 2019 at Sweet Home Cemetery with Bro. Donny Towles, officiating. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Tuesday January 15, 2019 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
