James Michael Hardy 35 years old, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Shirley Hardy of Fort Payne, brothers Caleb Heath Hardy (Kayla) of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Michael Jay Linette (Sara) of Lexington, SC, Jeff Linette of Lexington, SC and sisters Heather Hardy Metcalfe (Tim) of Arab, Alabama, Dawn Lundeen (Paul) of Lexington, SC and many wonderful friends and fans across the world who he loved dearly.
James was a professional skateboarder who was sponsored by Faith Skate Supply/Birmingham/Huntsville, Fallen Footwear, Real Skateboards, Eswic Clothing, Spitfire Wheels, Decline Footwear, Thunder Skateboard Trucks and many more.
During his semi-retirement he became an electrician with Craft Electric and most recently was working for Yard Love Lawn Care and Landscaping Company. James never left his love of skateboarding, he continued to work in Huntsville, AL on the weekends for Faith Skate Supply and traveled with many of the skate teams to continue supporting the industry.
He touched the lives of so many around the world with his career, he will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and his skateboarding community.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial contributions be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, International Mission Board or the Fort Payne First Methodist Church
