Mr. James “Marty” Lamar Upton, Jr., age 59, Arab, passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his home.
Mr. Upton was born on January 3, 1962 in Marshall County, Alabama to James Lamar Upton, Sr. and Glenda Bolding Upton. In his past time he enjoyed hunting and fishing and also his taxidermy hobby. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and teaching them about all things outdoors.
Mr. Upton leaves behind to celebrate and reminisce his life; son, Mark Upton (Laura); parents, Lamar Upton and Glenda Upton; sister, Kim Motley; and grandsons, Parker Upton and Barrett Upton.
Mr. Upton is preceded in death by his wife Judy Hyatt Upton.
Graveside service will take place at the Mount Oak/Ruth Cemetery in Arab, AL on Sunday – January 17, 2021 starting at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Larry Mann officiating.
Interment will follow service immediately at the Mt. Oak-Ruth Cemetery.
Pallbearers escorting Mr. Upton to his final resting place will be; Kade Harris, Chase King, Mike King, Chris Black, Jim King, Ted Reed and alternate Neal Bolding.
