James Martin Sisson, 81, of Huntsville/Scottsboro, AL died January 14th, in Huntsville. A native of Fairfax, OK, Jim moved to Huntsville in 1960 where he worked for NASA as an Aeronautical Engineer. Upon retiring from NASA he moved to Scottsboro, and was a member of Agape Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Linda Hendricks of Matewan, WV; his daughter Carrie Lynne Sisson; and his brother Robert ‘Kip’ Sisson.
He is survived by his sister, Saundra Gustus of Liberal, KS; his sons, Martin Sisson of Huntsville, and Alan Sisson of Gateway, CO; grandchildren, John and Claire Sisson of Huntsville; brother-in-law, John Hendricks; and numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the chapel with Pastor Roger Mardis officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund or mission fund at Agape Baptist Church, 256-574-5992.
