James Lynn Smith, 88 of Arab passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his residence. He was born September 9, 1937, in Arab the son of J.O. Smith, Jr. and Colene Dodd Smith. He worked in construction before retirement.
James Lynn Smith, 88 of Arab passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his residence. He was born September 9, 1937, in Arab the son of J.O. Smith, Jr. and Colene Dodd Smith. He worked in construction before retirement.
He is survived by his children: Geneta Davis, Phyllis (Rickey) Williams, Deloris Tyler and Anthony Smith; son-in-law: Oneal Mayfield; sister: Carolyn Lay; elven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; niece: Amy Blackmon. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Denise Smith-Mayfield, parents: J.O. and Colene Smith and a brother: Norman Smith.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Gober Funeral Chapel. The burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
