James Leon Jones, Jr. of Andalusia, passed away peacefully at home on September 28, 2017. James was born on November 14, 1941, he was 75 years old.
James is pre-deceased by his parents, James Leon Jones, Sr. and Lena B Holland Jones and sisters Gladys Davis, Jean Smith, Martha Owens and a brother, John Ed and three siblings that died as infants.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Diane and three daughters, Sybil Tyndall (Larry) of Malabar, FL, Sherry Kirkland (Wayne) of Polk City, FL and Kay Trimm (Mark) of Nectar AL, three stepchildren, Cindy Hubler (Gary), John Scott (Amy) and Lyn Hopwood, two brothers, Juliues (Beverly) and Kenneth both of Slocomb, Alabama, three sisters, Lillie B Carmichael of Esto, Florida, Christine Butler of Hartford Alabama and Emmalene Welch of Hartford, Alabama, several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests at the New Horizon Funeral Home, 5203 Hollis Goodwin Rd, Dora, Alabama on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Chapel services will be Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Church of Christ Cemetery, 2408 Morton Road, Warrior, Alabama.
