James Leon "JL" Rigsby James Leon “JL” Rigsby, 76 of Curry passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Princeton Hospital.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Curry Cemetery.  John Gates will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Luria Rigsby. Sisters, Betty Robbins, Sylvia Lay, Sally Crocker, Brothers, Curt Rigsby, Don Rigsby, Joe Rigsby, MacArthur Rigsby, and Paul Rigsby.

He is survived by his wife, Janis Rigsby, Sons, Jamie Rigsby, Jeff Rigsby (Jennifer), Jason Rigsby (Lisa). Grandchildren, Weston Rigsby, Emily Cooner (Matt), Lake Rigsby (Rachel), Riley Dodson (Jordan), Luke Rigsby (Kelby) and Gage Rigsby. Great grand children, Ethan and Eli Cooner, Hayes Rigsby and Callan Dodson. His brothers Jake Rigsby, Wendell Rigsby (Martha) and Harold David Rigsby (Johnnie). Sister Patsy Strickland (Jerry).

JL was born in Walker County. Graduated from Curry High in 1962. He was president of his class, co-captain of the football team. He was married to his wife for 58 years. He loved being with his family and playing with his grandkids and great grand kids. And mostly he loved his cabin and entertaining his family and friends.
