James Lelon Dye, age 90, of Summertown, TN passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a farmer, former mayor of the Brace Community, a member of the Chairman’s Club at First Farmers and Merchants Bank, and Brace Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Ola Dye King; his wife, Nellie Louise Simpson Dye; and one son, James Wesley Dye.

He is survived by

Jerry Mac Dye (Linda), Summertown, TN
Johnny Dwayne Dye (Carolyn), Summertown, TN
Larry Gene Dye (Cathy), Summertown, TN

Teresa Gail West (Bill), McEwen, TN
Cheryl Ann Walker, Summertown, TN

Daughter-in-law –
Carol Dye, Franklin, NC

Four Half-Sisters –
Dorothy Griffin, Florida
Mary Glenn, Nashville, TN
Virginia Pack, Summertown, TN
Faye Newton, Lawrenceburg, TN

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 22, 2015, with Jason Davis and Mark Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Brace Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.
