James Lee Jackson

Graveside services for Mr. James Lee Jackson, age 90, will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Whitehall Cemetery.

Mr. Jackson passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the West Tennessee State Veterans home in Humboldt, TN.

Mr. Jackson was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict, carpenter, a supervisor for the Milan Arsenal, an avid gardener, and big Tennessee Vols fan.

Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his parents, J. D. and Ora Jackson; four sisters, Doris Ward, Emma Crocker, Nell Breeden, and Frances McCoy; and four brothers, Lawrence Jackson, Glynn Jackson, Carl Jackson, and Harold Jackson.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Shirley Jackson; two daughters, Barbara Jackson Joyce (Billy), and Amy Joyce Stevens (Mike); three step children, Kent McWherter, Lisa Moore, and Tony McWherter; seven grandchildren, Nathan Joyce (Candice), Jonathon Joyce (Krysten), Josh Joyce, Ryan Stevens, Brandon Stevens, Travis Stevenson, and Dylan Stevens; five step grandchildren, Morgan Moore, Shea Depczynski, Taylor McWherter, Nicholas McWherter, and Mallory McWherter; seven great grandchildren, Conner Joyce, Caleb Joyce, Carter Joyce, McKenna Joyce, Libbie Joyce, Alanis Stevens, and Arlo Stevens; twenty one nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
