james-robinson-1480179099James Larry “Turkey” Robinson, 70 of Arab Alabama died Saturday November 26, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Robinson was born December 15, 1945 in Marshall County to Radford Robinson and Marzell Coker Robinson. He worked for Marshall Space Flight Center for 46 years before retiring. He was married to the former Wanda Kay Briscoe for 50 years. He was a 1963 graduate of Arab High School. Turkey enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball and Basketball. He was a huge Alabama Football Fan.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Wanda Kay Robinson; daughter and son-in-law: Shonna Robinson Heatherly and Warren; grandchildren: Zack and Kelci Heatherly, Dylan Voyles, Ramsey Heatherly and great grandchild: Reese Heatherly; brothers: Terry “Gobler” Robinson, Ronnie Robinson and a sister: Jan Womack.
Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Monday November 28, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Dr. Clint Landry and Dr. John York II, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Dr. John York II, Bill Wharton, Tony Looney, Johnny Harbison, Darryl Reid, Dr. Keith “Bo” Morgan, Keith Collins, Barry Hunt and Randy Hyatt.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Sunday November 27, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Big Oak Boys Ranch P O Box 507 Springville, Al, 35146.
