James Larry Parker, 70, died Monday June 22, 2015, following a brief illness. He was a native of Lauderdale County, retired from the construction industry, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at Greenview Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Wayne Wood will officiate.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Hardy and Mable Parker, and a brother, Gene Parker.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Parker (Charlotte); grandchildren, Lucas and Peyton Parker; great-grandson, Layton Parker; and special friend, Mona Ivy.
