James L. Salter, age 56, of Marion County, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, January 13th, 2015, at Northwest Medical Center in Winfield, Alabama.
Visitation, 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Friday, January 16th, 2015. Funeral service, 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 16th, 2015 at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Willie Joe Hollis officiating. Burial in Beaver Creek Cemetery.

James was born September 13th, 1958, in Marion County, Alabama, to the late Ernest Jim and Eittie Mae Wallace Salter. He never met a stranger and had a heart big enough to love the world. He worked for many years as a roofer for LeDuke Roofing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and working on cars. James was a member of Highway 278 Church of God.
He is survived by his brother, Sheddie Salter, Guin, AL.; 3 sisters, Ernestine Wallace, Guin, AL., Christine Lipsey, Guin, AL., and Maxine Riggins, Guin, AL.; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Jim and Eittie Mae Wallace Salter; infant brother; several aunts and uncles and other relatives and friends.*
