Funeral services for James L. Chambers, 80 of Corinth are set for 2pm Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Magnolia Funeral Home – South Chapel located at 741 HWY 45 South in Corinth with interment in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home- South Chapel. Bro. Warren Jones will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Scotty Morris, Scott Gammill, Skyler Gammill, Richard Freeman, Tate Lancaster and Andre Brock. Born April 20, 1945 in Corinth, MS., Mr. Chambers passed from this life on Friday, August 21, 2025 at his home. He was a retired truck driver for Brewer Transporters and of the Baptist faith. James loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed wood working, do maintenance work, baking cakes, watching his hummingbirds and doing home improvement projects. James is survived by his wife of 37 years, Janice Chambers; honorary grandsons, Scott Gammill (Kayla) and Skyler Gammill (Kimberly); honorary great grandchildren, Aubree Counce, Barrett Gammill, Aiden Gammill and Emily Gammill; brother-in-law: Honnel Lancaster (Patsy); sister-in-law: Betty Brock (Mike); other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Orlan Chambers, mother, Evie Chambers, brothers, Kenneth Chambers and Bobby Chambers; sister, Betty Lee; parents-in-law: Beeacher Lancaster (Lurlie); brothers and sisters-in-law: Ted Lancaster, Wanda Childres (Dewey) and Sarah Lewis.
