JamesJames Kermit Helton, 78, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Mr. Helton was a member of New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church. He was retired from Genesco Shoe Factory, and was later the owner and operator of Helton’s Trading Post. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Ray Daniel, Jr. Interment will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by one son, Jeff Helton and wife, Pansy, of Iuka, MS; one daughter, Annette Daniel and husband, Rev. Ray Daniel, Jr., of Iuka, MS; one brother, Wayne Helton of Iuka, MS; six grandchildren, Chris Lowery and wife, Tiffany, Eric Lowery and wife, Lindsey, Brandy Johnson and husband, Casey, Carmen Helton, Bethany Hannah, and Nathan Hannah; and seven great-grandchildren, Devin, Brianna, Haley, Cassidy, Cooper, Lori Jo, and Annlee Lowery. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Helton; a son, Richie Helton; a daughter, Nanette Helton; a grandchild, Hunter Huckabee; a great-grandchild, Austin Lowery; his parents, Coleman and Maudie Lambert Helton; a brother, Orville Helton; and three sisters, Edna Earl Fuller, Earnestine Atkins, and Opal McAnally.
