Mr. James Kenneth Capshaw, age 44, of Arab, Alabama passed away Saturday afternoon, April 26, 2025 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville. He battled with cancer long and hard but ultimately it won the battle. Kenny was born June 1, 1980 in Madison County, AL. His parents were James Ronald Capshaw and Debbie Marie Rockefeller. Kenny was married to Britani Clara Jewell Capshaw. He worked for the Huntsville City School System as plant manager for Grissom High School. Kenny will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Kenny’s surviving family includes his wife, Britani Capshaw; children, Kaelie Capshaw, Kooper Capshaw, and Mollie Capshaw; father, Ronnie Capshaw (Janice); mother, Debbie Stutzenburger (Mark); grandmother, Chris Capshaw; siblings, Gina Horton (Greg), Sarah Burnett (Quinn Moon), Joe Burnett, Melissa Green, and Amy Stutzenberger; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers; James (Bud) Capshaw and Arthur Kenneth (Rocky) Rockefeller; grandmother, Suiko Rockefeller; and sister, Lori Tompkins.
Services to honor and celebrate Kenny’s life will be at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel in Arab, Alabama. Family, friends and guests will gather for a visitation between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm on Tuesday evening, April 29, 2025. The funeral service will be at the chapel on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 2:00 pm with a short visitation an hour prior to the service. Honored to serve as pallbearers to escort Kenney to his final resting place in Arab Memorial Cemetery will be Chris Hall, Kevin Fruchtnicht, Tracey Elledge, Jason Thomas, David King, Wes Ponder and alternate, Joe Beeber.
