James Kelly Brown, age 52, formerly of Killen, died Friday, July 31, 2015. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 3, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ronnie Jones officiating. Burial will be at Florence City Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Kelly was a 1981 graduate of Brooks High School and was employed with Federal Mogul in Athens. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Preceded him in death were his father, James K. Brown, mother of his children, Cindy Brown.
Survivors are his mother, Linda Smith; children, Kimberly Walker and Jeremy Brown (Kerri); grandmother, Willie B. Vestal; brothers, Jeff Smith and Richard Brown; grandson, Andrew Walker. You may sign the guest register at sprywilliams.com.
