James “Jimmy” Wilburn Luna, Jr., 83, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 9:30 a.m.- 11 a.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a graveside service at 2 p.m. in Blue Mountain Cemetery in Blue Mountain, Mississippi.
He retired from Champion International Papers. He was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church. Jimmy was raised on the farm and loved the family life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Hilda Luna.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kay Walker Luna; sons, Bill Luna (Bridgette); daughter, Lynn Luna Farris (Jon); grandchildren, Nick Luna, Taylor Luna, Jackson Farris, and Julia Farris; grat grandchildren, Rowan Luna and Wells Luna; aunt, Jean Harrington; a niece; and several nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be retirees of Champion International.
