James “Jimmy” Walker Scott Jr., age 56, passed away Monday, Dec. 28, 2015. Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, from 1-3 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating will be Brother Brudgie Davis. Jimmy was the husband of Robin Scott. He was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church of Birmingham. Jimmy was an avid golfer who played with his many friends known as The Mules. He graduated from Deshler High School, class of 1978, where he played baseball, got a scholarship to Calhoun Community College transferring to UNA on a baseball scholarship, and finished on a golf scholarship.
Mr. Scott was preceded in death by parents, J.W. and Doris Jean Scott.
Survivors are wife of 19 wonderful years, Robin Scott; son, James “Walker” Scott III; sister, Linda Keenum (Lee); and nephew, Joshua “Josh” Keenum (Stephanie).
Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be his golfing buddies.
Memorials may be made to The First Tee at 425 S. Legacy Trail St. Augustine, FL 32092 (a charity for inner city youth golf).
Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
