James “Jimmy” Matthews Bunch, age 78 of Springfield, Tennessee died Monday, March 10, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am, Saturday, March 15th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Pastor Billy Traughber officiating.
Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Don Downard, Jake Downard, Leslie Richardson, Nick Richardson, Austin Brewer, and Seth Choate serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 14th from 5:00-7:00PM, and again on Saturday beginning at 9:30AM until the hour of service at 10:30AM.
Mr. Bunch was born on December 30, 1946 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late Elmer & Grace Poole Bunch. He retired after 40 years as a self-employed plumber. He was a jack of all trades and loved to fly his own plane. Jimmy loved the beach and to fish. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Bunch and Raymond Bunch.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marlene Bunch; brothers, Roger & Milton Bunch; sister, Joyce (Jim) Koss; sisters-in-law, Darlene (Glenn) Gainous, Marilyn (Bill) Johnson, and Donna Downard; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
