James “Jimmy” Maddox, age 66, passed from this life Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015. The visitation will be today from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. in the Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Rodney Shewbart will be officiating.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Walker Gleason, and father, C.R. Thompson.
Mr. Maddox is survived by his daughter, Hollie Tompkins (Mark); and son Jamie Maddox (Laura); special friend, Kay Maddox; grandchildren, Ryan Maddox and Marlie and Baylie Tompkins; special daughter, Jordan Russ and best friend, “Jack;” brothers, Michael “Mickey” Thompson, Nevada, and Gary Maddox, Washington; and sister, Judy Kay Steele, Utah.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bratton, Jimmy Darlin, David Darlin, Jeff Askew, Kevin Allen, and Greg Traynom.
