James “Jimmy” Hammond, age 81, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and of the Methodist faith. Mr. Hammond served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Laura Newton Hammond; one daughter, Janet Harris; and two sisters, Martha Rollins, and Betty Hammond.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 18, 2015, with Mickey Brackin and Randy Keene officiating. Interment will follow at Bishop Chapel Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to Mars Hill Baptist Church Mission Fund.
