Funeral service for Lames “Jimmy” Edward Latham, 76, of Moulton will be Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Kidd and Ben Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Latham, who died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born September 27, 1937, in Lawrence County to Howard Latham and Hazle Parker Latham. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired as a packing room supervisor for 3M. Jimmy was a member of Wear Baptist Church and the Loyd L. Glenn Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Borden Latham, and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Gargis Latham; three daughters, Cheri Latham Terry (Ricky), Tina Latham Rutherford (David) and Melissa Smith Carey (Bobby), all of Moulton; one sister, Ann Evans of Moulton; and four grandchildren, Baily Sue Rutherford, Brock David Rutherford, Hannah Marie Terry and Robert Owen Carey.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Waldrep, Dick Ristau, Sanford Norton Jr., Billy Booth, William Earl Latham and David Brumley.
Honorary pallbearer will be Elton Cooper.
