James "Jimmy" Dennis Hughey James “Jimmy” Dennis Hughey of Rogersville, Alabama, passed away on Friday, June 21st, 2024 at his home in Rogersville, Alabama. He was born in Pulaski, Tennessee on October 10th, 1947 and was 76 years old.

Jimmy loved his family and friends. Spending time with them was always something he looked forward to. He loved living on the Tennessee River where he enjoyed boating, yardwork and doing handyman things around the house. After retirement from sales, Jimmy enjoyed his time as a bus driver for the Williamson County School System where the kids and loved him as “Mr. Jim”.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.

The family request memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Pulaski c/o 200 W. Jefferson Street Pulaski, TN 38478 or your favorite animal shelter.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Dudley and Doris Johnston Hughey.

He is survived by,
His wife Ann Smith Hughey of Rogersville, Alabama.
Daughter, Haley (Chris) Feck of Hendersonville, Tennessee.
Daughter, DeAnne (Jonathan) Beaty of Gallatin, Tennessee.
Daughter, Beth (Alex) Scruggs of Lebanon, Tennessee.
Step-son, Andy (Valerie) Anderton of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Grandchildren, Hunter and Harrison Beaty. Elsie Kate, Ander, and Hinson Scruggs.
Step-granddaughters, Jessica Stufflebean and Alison Agent.
Step-great-grandchildren, Kingsley Ann Agent and Andrew Beard.
Brother, Mike (Tina) Hughey of Joelton, Tennessee.
His beloved dog Muffin.
The family would like to thank their Rogersville neighbors for their kindness and a special thanks to Daniel, Lisa, and Alexis for taking care of him.
