Funeral service for James “Jim” Vaughn Maxwell, 91, will be Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Antioch United Methodist Church, Somerville, AL, with Bro. Dean Elrod and Bro. Roger James officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Antioch UMC Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Maxwell died on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Floyd “Tutt” Fann Veterans Home. He was born October 08, 1923, in Morgan County to Tennis W. Maxwell and Virdie L. Brisco Maxwell. He was a self employed farmer and formerly had worked for the District #4 of Morgan County as a truck driver. Mr. Maxwell was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Maxine Griffin Maxwell, and his parents.
