James L. Zurasky Profile Photo James (Jim) L. Zurasky passed away, leaving behind a rich legacy of service, faith, and devotion to his family.

A proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, Jim dedicated much of his professional life to his country and to advancing national defense and space exploration. He had a distinguished career working for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and as a contractor for the United States Department of Defense. Beyond his professional achievements, he was a faithful member of Asbury Church.

Jim was widely known by all who loved him for his boundless generosity, his remarkable green thumb, and the sage advice he so willingly shared. He had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and loved exploring the National Parks. Above all, Jim cherished the time he spent in fellowship with his family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

His greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Patricia (Pat) Zurasky; his loving daughters, Cricket Baker (Bill) and Kelly Davis (Darren); and his adored grandchildren, Chaela Davis, Gavin Davis, Kyle Baker, and Jordan Davis. He also leaves behind his cherished great-grandsons; his siblings, Francess Sherry, Patricia Dianna, and Joe Macri; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews who will miss him dearly.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Legacy Chapel on Saturday, March 28, with visitation from 10-11, followed by a memorial service officiated by Pastor Harry Zurasky. Family and Friends are invited to join Pat for lunch at Asbury Church following the service.
