James “Jim” Joseph Grobe, age 79, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Florence Nursing Home & Rehab.
Jim was born in Kansas City, Missouri on February 01, 1940. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. As a child, he enjoyed performing magic acts and as an adult, became a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He and his wife, Peggy, spent 31 wonderful years together and enjoyed many adventures together. He was an award winning writer and producer for CBS and worked for several marketing firms across the country.
A memorial service will be held at a later date by the family, including a broken wand ceremony done by the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Helmuth J. Grobe and Kathryn Laxson Grobe; brother, Gene Grobe; and sisters, Kay Grobe and Mary Jo Grobe.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 31 years, Peggy Lawler Grobe, several nieces & nephews; and a host of friends.
