Mr. James “Jim” Howard Krol, age 79, of Murfreesboro, TN, formerly of Lowell, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Born in Blue Island IL, he is the son of the late Michael and Josephine Krol. He is also preceded by his brothers, John A. Krol and Joseph A. Krol; and his brother and sister-in-law, Maureen Krol, and Wes Leeper.
Jim is survived by his siblings, Michael S. Krol, Diane M. Studenroth, Susan H. Leeper, Karen (Fred) Dawson, Jo Ann (Greg) Swienton, Paul R. (Robin) Krol, Michelle J. Laws, Chester R. Krol, Kenneth K. Krol.
Jim graduated in 1965 from Tinley Park High School and soon after worked for Ford Motor Company in Chicago, IL for over 40 years before his retirement in 2010.
Jim had many hobbies. He loved to garden, go thrift shopping, and sight-seeing. He had a love for freight trains and enjoyed taking his family and friends to the Montour Train Museum. The love of his life were his 3 dogs, Dolly, Molly, Oscar.
Services for Jim will be held at a later date in Deltona, FL.
Cremation is under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro.
